2. Membership Cancellation Process
You retain complete autonomy over your subscription status and may elect to cancel at any point through your account settings dashboard. Once a crypto payment has been broadcast and confirmed on the respective network, it cannot be recalled or reversed by any party. THE REAL WORLD is therefore unable to process refunds to originating wallet addresses under standard operating conditions. In the uncommon event of a verifiable overpayment or duplicate transmission, our team will assess the situation individually; however, resolution will typically take the form of extended membership duration rather than a return of digital assets, owing to network fee implications and the operational complexity of outbound crypto transfers.
4. Hardship and Unusual Cases
We understand that unforeseen events can affect any individual. If you experience a demonstrably unauthorized charge on your account, a confirmed technical defect in our billing system that caused duplicate processing, or another verifiable anomaly, we encourage you to reach out to our support department promptly. All hardship or exception requests must be accompanied by corroborating documentation—such as bank statements, on-chain transaction receipts, or screenshots of system errors—and must be filed within fourteen (14) calendar days of the contested charge. THE REAL WORLD retains sole discretion in evaluating these petitions, and the approval of one request neither establishes precedent nor guarantees favorable treatment of subsequent claims.
5. Unauthorized Dispute Filings
Filing a chargeback, payment reversal, or formal dispute with your bank or card network for a legitimately authorized subscription fee—without first attempting resolution through our internal support channels—constitutes a breach of this agreement. In such cases, THE REAL WORLD reserves the right to immediately and irrevocably terminate your account, revoke all access credentials, and contest the dispute by furnishing the financial institution with comprehensive evidence of your account activity, content access logs, and documented acceptance of this policy. We may also pursue the outstanding balance through lawful collection mechanisms, and repeated offenses may be referred to fraud prevention databases.
6. Special Offers and Trial Periods
THE REAL WORLD may periodically extend limited-time pricing, introductory trial periods, or bundled enrollment packages at the company's discretion. Subscriptions activated under any reduced-rate, promotional, or trial offer remain subject to this Refund Policy and are non-refundable without exception. Should you cancel a membership originally secured at a promotional rate, reinstatement will occur at the prevailing standard subscription price in effect at the time of re-enrollment. THE REAL WORLD does not retroactively adjust pricing or issue credits to members who subscribed at full price prior to the announcement of a promotional campaign.
7. Account Suspension Consequences
